Boring week

Yeap,thats what VBS does to you,after a hype week,you suddenly plunge back into total boredom.Haha

Yknow,ive been through really tough times before,they get me down,depressed and confused sometimes.But i always bounce back.I think the one thing that God has shown me this year very clearly is that he ALWAYS ANSWERS MY PRAYERS.No matter what.

Its better most of the time to just leave tough times in his hands and wait,because solutions wont pop-up instantly.

The solution may not be direct and immediate,sometimes it will take MONTHS for something change,and how God answers your prayers may vary from being subtle to completely direct.

Count your blessings and you'll realize how much a blessed life you already live.Im still learning to do that but i know it works.

Of kids,friends and exhaustion! (VBS09)

If there was one thing that id cherish the most this year,its gotta be the Vacation Bible School (VBS) which i volunteered for.I joined with little expectation of what is to come,but WOW,how surprised i was! It was really fun that i was part of this amazing event which saw me help out in class lessons in the morning and recreation in the afternoon.

Since im kinda having a writers block now,i shall blabber in point form:

1.THE KINDERGARDEN KIDS ARE LIKE SOOOOOOO CUUUUTTTEEE!!! XD Seriously,they were so small and playful with that cute kiddy voice and huge eyes.When they were playing games for recreation,they were always so responsive and playful! Especially during the water games,instead of avoiding wetness,they DELVED in it! XD If i had a voice recorder of their responses to the REC team,it WILL melt your heart!! hahaha~

2.VBS,to some extent is potentially extremely exhausting,maybe i cant blame myself because ive chosen to do double sessions (Morning and afternoon) So imagine staying in church from 7:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening,yeah.On the 3rd day of the whole thing,i was practically half-asleep the whole day through which forced me to sleep at 7:45 pm after the days ordeal,thats probably the EARLIEST ive ever slept the whole year!But anyway,the effort was all worth it in the end.

3.DANDENONG RANGERS (The class i was assigned to for morning session) is undoubtedly the BEST class ive ever been a part of (And also the loudest)!!! I was like so super-hyped and supportive of my class la (Cheh wah~)

Im such a horrible assistant teacher because me and the other helpers (Emily,Cindy,Jocelyn and Edward) sort of corrupted the students (Std 5&6) into happy-go-lucky singing bouncing kiddies! =D If you were there,you would notice that our class would be moving around the church compound happily singing loudly to some Sunday School church song or even worse...the SPONGEBOB theme song!! hahaha~

Im really happy for my class la,i could feel we all stuck together and did all the activities as a team,especially during recreation when we competed with the BONDI SURFERS (The other Std5&6 class,Samanthas class XD) and we all cheered and celebrated everytime we won against them,the teamwork was there.And everytime we won,we would sing our ''theme song'' which is basically some Sunday School song we learnt of on the 1st day.If you were there,you wouldve probably heard my class singing it PLENTY of times!

How did we get hooked on it?

Well it all started on the 1st day of VBS when the 1st lessons began,everyone was still geting accustomed to each other and there was an unsettling tension that threatened to make the class a total bore-fest,i could see it,one of my students was branding the whole thing LAME. XD When Cindy sang the song at first,it looked embaressingly like a completely lame attempt to entertain the kids,i could remember the looks on their faces:Full of total sesatness and ''OMG this is so lame''ness.The teachers and i were clapping our hands and singing hopelessly in vain (At that moment),if you were there id forgive you for feeling sorry for us,it was that bad.

Fortunately,with Gods blessing,me and the helpers turned things upside-down.Somehow we broke the ice and the whole class got hooked on the song and from there onwards,we really had fun as a team the whole VBS through. =D

4.The kids love me!! One even tried to hit me ''there'',he succeeded,but dont worry people,ill still be celebrating fathers day! HAHAHA~ I dont get why young boys,like to annoy and hit older ones...

5.The students really opened up after we ''broke the ice''.The best part was,SEVEN of them accepted Christ through VBS,im really glad God has blessed our efforts in it.The big majority of my class are already church-goers.

6.There's a kid in my class also named Joel,its funny how the boys always prefer the ''big'' Joel sitting with them rather than the ''small'' Joel.X)

7.Okay now on to RECREATION in the afternoon session,even then too,ive met new friends and had lotsa fun.The water games were the best,had so much fun bullying friends and students with water guns,but they bullied me badly too =P I was soaked so badly~

The BEST part was on Friday when i TOTALLY SOAKED Sue Mae and blasted my water gun at her!!~ Muahahahah lol.

Other casualties include:Julian,Yumey,Joseph,Zhi Xian,Felicia,Joshua Van Buerle and many more~

8.Its fun to watch kids having fun,cant help but reflect on my own childhood =)

9.The girl dancers in worship session were pretty cute! =X

10.Speaking of dancing,i had trouble remembering the dance routines even on the last day of VBS,tsktsk

I really loved my time in VBS,learnt so much in matter of 5 days,God has truly shown me alot! X) Someday,in the near future,id really wanna just go to places like India,Cambodia or Nepal and just helpout and spread the good news.Hope that day comes!

So now to find things to do to kill off the final days of 2009,there will be some things i want to reflect on till then.Cya friends!

The holiday dillema

Thats the problem with holidays:NOTHING TO DO.

Haha,i honestly envy people who can somehow find things to do.Im tired of just rotting infront of this contraption.Bleh...

Atleast theres VBS next week! =D Its my first,so im hoping to enjoy myself helping out! I always find it great to help the church X)

My conjunctivitis is wearing off...hopefully its gone by tomorrow.

So little to talk about,maybe i should complain about certain stuff? Nah,no mood to.

I could be playing guitar....there are lotsa songs i have yet to master,my music scores are beckoning but i havent mustered the patience to practice!

Or....i could go BUG-CATCHING!! Haih,dunno la,i should go to the forest and perhaps look there.Owh wait,LETS GO TO BUKIT GASING!!! 8D *Hint,hint* LAWL

I havent been watching TV often *Apart from football*,i barely know whats the latest shows on TV,but i did watch this Hostage documentary on Discovery channel sometime ago,i love this kinda shows,really informative....

Dogs fine,but she's getting older...well i still love her,after all the EBIL things she's done =)

My sister's okay too,her guitar has improved alot since she started teaching herself early this year.She can strum out alot of songs now,but not very skillful with plucking yet.Maybe i should teach her...then again she never asked X)

Mom's on the computer everyday playing FARMVILLE on Facebook.Hooked on it.First thing she'll do in most mornings is turn-on the computer and start FARMVILLE'ing away,haha.

As i type this,im starting to become more melancholic in my mood again =S
Nothing lasts forever,i guess thats the bitter truth.

The habits will change,the routine will change,the people will change,your friends will change,everything changes.

I admit,im one of those people who always struggle with that.So its kinda tough to find the inner-strength to try and carry-on.Some people are better at this than i am,respect you guys.

HOLIDAY IS BORING,but im happy anywayz! =D

Bug genocide

If your not interested in knowing what ive been up to the past couple of days,then dont read on,because it has ALL TO DO with:thats right,bug catching! Hahahahaha

So yeah,i bought myself this insect net which costs about RM15 for a relatively medium-sized one and i set off to go catch myself some insects for some crummy Bio-project i have to do.

Walked around the tree and shrub-filled areas of my neighbourhood where some of the neighbours were growing their own flowers/vegetables.

To my awe,there were lotsa big-ass bees,dragonflies and of course,butterflies.But catching them wasnt as easy as i thought,them insects fly real fast and it really took alot of patience for me to sneak up to one and catch it with my net.It mustve looked real jakun because people must be wondering what this tall lanky teenage boy is doing catching insects oO

I spent the whole afternoon looking for the chance to catch any of them,fortunately the butterflies are easier to catch than the other two because i guess butterflies are generally slower?

I put all my bugs into this container,how? Wont tell ya =)

My best catch was probably the dragonflies.They zip across the air real fast and it took really good reflexes *ahem* for me to catch them in mid-air.The feeling of hunting them down is really satisfying,the thrill of the hunt~ LOL

And of course,theres the big-ass bees which were probably my most sought after insect because they were BIG.....well not that big,but big.And they gave off a loud BUZZ.These guys were seen spotted around flowers looking for nectar.Catching them was really fun as they really buzzed around you in circles,luckily they dont sting.

Owh,earlier today,i caught alot of butterflies and placed them in my container.Unfortunately,when i placed the big-ass bee in it as well,its wings which tend to BUZZ real-fast sorta shredded the butterflies to pieces =S The gruesomeness of the sight is undescribable,i felt horrible.

Anyway,all my butterflies are dead and ripped into pieces now,i need to catch new ones *If there are any that is* BUG CATCHING IS ACTUALLY FUN! oO

P.S Im gonna post some pics on Facebook soon,go check them out.The problem is,we use a near useless KODAK camera,its totally worthless and it pissed me off countless times because the pics NEVER turn out good.We need to buy a new camera,seriously.
